Darren Cohen leads the asset management for the Fund and is an Executive Director at Gemdale USA.  He is responsible for engaging with architects, contractors, property management firms and brokerage teams to develop and execute value-add strategies. Additionally, Mr. Cohen works closely with acquisitions for project underwriting, market analysis and product positioning.  Mr. Cohen brings over 20 years of real estate asset management, development and leasing experience to the team.  Prior to joining Gemdale USA, Mr. Cohen was director of asset management for LS Capital, Inc. where he was responsible for repositioning, lease-up and disposition for office, multifamily, retail and industrial assets throughout the Western US.  Prior to this, Mr. Cohen held positions at EJM Development Co. where he was involved in the development, financing, asset management, and leasing of over $600M of multifamily, industrial, office and retail product.  Mr. Cohen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Boston University.  In addition, he is a member of NAIOP and ULI.
